A Planning Timeline for Custom Dessert Tables

The best dessert tables are not the most expensive ones. They are the ones that got decided early enough to be done right.

Here is the timeline that keeps everything calm.

Twelve weeks out: the big picture

Lock your date, your venue, and your guest count. Everything else depends on these three.

Then decide your vibe. Bring us your color palette, your invitation, a few inspiration photos. This is the fun conversation and it sets the direction for everything after.

Also worth doing now: confirm what your venue actually allows. Table size, setup window, outdoor or indoor, whether they provide the table or you do. Nothing derails a design faster than finding out at week two that you have four feet of space instead of eight.

Eight weeks out: shape the table

Now we get specific. Centerpiece decision, cake or tower or both. Which sweets are going on the table and roughly how many of each. Any dietary needs across your guest list.

This is also when we talk about the serving experience. Do you want us there on the day running the table? Do you want leftovers repackaged for guests to take home? These change the plan, so earlier is better.

Four weeks out: finalize

Final guest count. Final flavor selections. Final design confirmed and locked. Deposit and details settled.

We also confirm logistics here: delivery window, setup time, who at the venue is our contact, and where exactly the table is going in the room.

After this point, big changes get difficult. Small tweaks are fine. Redesigning the centerpiece is not.

One week out: confirm and breathe

Quick check-in. Any last headcount shift, any venue changes, any surprises. We reconfirm timing and address.

That is it. This week is not for decisions. It is for you to focus on everything else you have going on.

Day of: you do nothing

We arrive, we set up, we style the table, we make it beautiful. You show up and see it finished.

The short version

Two weeks is our minimum for custom work. Twelve weeks is the sweet spot. Anything between those, we will make it work, we just get more done in one conversation instead of four.

Ready to start? Reach out and let us know your date. We will take it from there.
